Are We Getting A So High School MV?

We all have been waiting for Taylor to release the third single from The Tortured Poets Department, and it might be arriving sooner than we thought: possibly even this Saturday.

Since the 2024 VMAs, all of us assumed Down Bad would be the next single. However, based on recent events, it seems we might have been wrong. All signs now point to my dream coming true: the third single from TTPD looks like it’s going to be So High School.

You’re probably wondering, why would Taylor make a random Anthology track a single? The answer is simple: Taylor Swift is completely obsessed with her boyfriend, and So High School just happens to be about him.

Now, here we are, a little over a year since Taylor and Travis's relationship went public, and it looks like Travis might be getting more than just a song and a live performance: he could be getting an entire music video.

German Radio Refers to SHS as a Single

I’ll never forget it: back around June or July 2024, many radio stations started playing I Can Do It With A Broken Heart and called it the second single from The Tortured Poets Department. A few days later, it was officially released as a single.

Well, as the mastermind said herself, “Come one, come all, it’s happening again.” Now, various radio stations, including the German station Bayren 3, are referring to So High School as the next single.

“The Greatest In The League” Collection

Today, on October 3rd, Taylor released a new TTPD merchandise collection, titled “The Greatest In The League”. As we know, this is a lyric from The Alchemy, which is another song about Travis.

Interestingly, today is also Boyfriend’s Day, which can’t be coincidental… right?

This also reminds me of Taylor’s VMAs afterparty outfit, which we originally thought was Down Bad-coded. Turns out, the jacket was actually called the “UFO Tapestry Boyfriend Jacket.”

Taylor’s Essentials Playlist

Taylor recently added two new songs to her Apple Music Essentials playlist: So High School and Down Bad, both rumored to be singles from The Tortured Poets Department.

The Essentials playlist mainly includes singles and popular tracks. Until now, the only two songs from TTPD on there were Fortnight and I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, both singles.

So High School’s Rise Of Popularity

So High School was never one of the popular tracks from The Tortured Poets Department. It was known as the Tayvis song and part of the Eras Tour setlist, but it didn’t really gain much popularity on its own, and it struggled on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, blocked by other TTPD songs.

However, something recently changed. So High School is suddenly rising in popularity. It’s now the eighth song on the This Is Taylor Swift playlist on Spotify. To give you some context, here’s the full top 10 list:

Each and every one of these songs is a single, except for So High School. Or maybe it is?

So, When Is The So High School MV Coming Out?

We all know what happens when a song becomes a single: a music video (unless we’re talking about Cruel Summer…). So if I’m right, and So High School is the next single, when can we expect the music video?

This Saturday, October 5th, happens to be Travis Kelce’s 35th birthday. Travis is of course the one and only, the Guy On The Chiefs, the dude who knows how to ball, the so called “handsome” boyfriend, the inspiration behind So High School.

I’m convinced Taylor will release the music video as a birthday gift for Travis, because, as I’ve said, she’s a little bit a lot obsessed.

October 5th is also ✌️ days after the launch of “The Greatest In The League” collection, and as we all know, the number 2 holds special meaning in TTPD lore.

I also believe there’s a chance we’ll see a Travis cameo in the video. He’s been recently embarking on an acting career, and what better way to kick that off than appearing in a Taylor Swift music video? Plus, Taylor is anything but subtle when it comes to showing off how much she loves him. She’s posted him on social media various times, had him carry her on stage in front of 90,000 people, so why wouldn’t she also make him her costar?

I’ve never manifested something harder, and if I wake up on Saturday to find out I was right, you better not be anywhere near me. Because let me tell you: I will NOT shut up.
