April is finally over, and oh what a month it was. Such a crazy one! We got so much content and so many amazing things happening in 30 days!

Let's recap the month and go through what is coming up in May!

April Recap

New Album!

April 19th, 2024, a date that will forever go down in Swiftie history. On that day, Taylor Swift had put out ✌️ new albums, leaving all of us gagged.

The Tortured Poets Department broke almost every possible record. Taylor now occupies the top 14 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, breaking her own record from 2022. She is truly incredible!

Fortnight MV

18 hours after the release of the second album The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, we got another gift from our chairman - the Fortnight MV.

I must say, this is one of Taylor's craziest self-directed music videos by now. Everything about it is unbelievable, from the aesthetic to the storytelling. It was truly worth staying up in the middle of the night and doing push-ups every time I thought I was about to fall asleep.

Karma Is The Guy On The Chiefs, Coming Straight To Coachella/ Fundraiser Gala With Me!

Just as I lost hope and accepted the fact that we probably wouldn’t get any new Tayvis content until the Eras Tour resumes, Taylor and Travis decided to get out of the house and attend Coachella. They attended several performances, including Ice Spice, Bleachers and Dom Dolla, and were cute and clingy all night long.

Later on, Taylor and Travis attended the 15 And The Mahomies charity event in Las Vegas. The pair donated Eras Tour tickets which were sold for 80k dollars! They looked so high school (iykyk) all night long, and Travis even shouted Taylor out and called her his “significant other”

What’s Coming Up?

Met Gala?

It is unknown whether Taylor and Travis are planning on attending the Met Gala this year. Earlier this week, TMZ reported that the pair won’t be attending the event, but Page Six reported that Taylor is attending, but Travis’ presence is still under a question mark.

I tend to believe that the two won’t make it to the Met Gala this year. Page Six reported that Taylor and Travis are planning on attending F1 Miami Grand Prix the day before the Met Gala. Also, Taylor’s European leg starts on May 9th, only a couple of days after the Met Gala. She can theoretically make it to the event, but I don’t think she would want to put so much pressure on herself before going away on tour for three months.

Eras Tour

As I mentioned earlier, Taylor is going back on tour! The European leg of the Eras Tour starts in Paris on May 9th. She is about to tour 18 cities for 3 and a half months.

The Eras Tour setlist seems to get a little extension, with Taylor expected to add songs from The Tortured Poets Department to it. She seemingly confirmed it in a YouTube Short, where she can be seen standing by a bar with the TTPD logo. She also shared videos of her using a white guitar and a white microphone.

Taylor has 11 shows scheduled for May, in Paris, Stockholm, Lisbon and Madrid.

Clown Time 🤡

There is a great chance that something is coming on May 3rd. Why? There are many explanations:

May 3rd is exactly a fortnight since the release of TTPD. It’s such a great excuse for Taylor to put something out on that date!
Taylor Nation posted a bunch of cryptic photos last week, including Taylor clicking floor number #3 on the Bejeweled elevator and the infamous “five holes in the fence”. May is the fifth month. There are five holes in the fence. Something is coming on May 3rd.

I suspect that this is a music video to The Alchemy. Why? Taylor Nation randomly decided to post a video of Taylor recording The Alchemy. Maybe that was an easter egg, or maybe Scott Swift just really adores Travis Kelce.

There is also a chance that this will be the Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me MV. One of Taylor’s dancers seemingly confirmed that this song is a part of the new Eras Tour setlist, and the song lyrics feature a sentence that is on one of the TTPD variants’ back cover.

However, with Taylor everything is unexpected, so I guess that we will have to wait for May 3rd!
